Amethi police arrested two accused allegedly involved in murder

  • Arrested accused were booked under sections 364, 302, 201 and 34 IPC, police official said adding that the arrested accused Dinesh has criminal records being involved in several cases lodged with police.

Amethi. Amethi police claimed today to disclose the mystery of a murder within 48 hours after arresting 2 accused allegedly involved in a murder which had occurred four days back, police said on Friday.

Superintendent of Police in Amethi Dinesh Singh told media in a press conference held on the premises of his office that a police team comprised of 7 cops including SHO Jamo Sanjay Kumar Singh, incharge of SOG Vinod Yadav, sub inspectors Pravin Kumar Singh, Ram Kumar Katiyar and Brij Bhushan Pathak arrested 2 accused Dinesh Pratap alias Ambika of village Suratgarh and Sanu alias Shashank of Pure Ashanand Vaish-Goriyabad under limits of police station Jamo on last night near Bhikhipur narar puliya who were allegedly involved in murder of Salman of village Suratgarh.

Police team also recovered a car used by accused in the present event and seized it.

SP Mr. Singh said that still 2 accused Vineet of Naya ka Purwa-Aghoriand Himanshu alias Vickky of Pure Ashanand Vaish-Goriyabad related to this case are missing .

Accompanied by Additional SP daya Ram saroj and Deputy SP Arpit Kapoor Mr. Dinesh Sigh narrated in detail that Nijam Ahmad son of Asgar Ali of village Suratgarh informed in writing the Jamo police that his brother Salman Ahmad 24 left home on August 18 with Shashank alias Sanu (one of arrested accused) but never returned.

On this complaint Jamo police lodged FIR under section 364 and started investigation.

Later several teams of police were investigating the matter and

Mr. Singh said that on August 20 (yesterday) the dead body of missing Salman was fished out near Bhoyen from Gomati river in Sultanpur.

Mr. Singh also said that later it was learnt that the deceased had some enmity with Dinesh who was jailed sometimes back in allegation of attempt of Salman’s muder and was on bail.

Mr. Singh also added that Diesh and his accomplices had allegedly strangulated the throat of Salman and threw away his body in Gomti river which could be recovered on Augut 20 last (yesterday).
