New Delhi. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was trending high on Twitter, but not because of any nice news. This time, the star found herself in trouble after reports alleging that she was charging a massive Rs 12 crore fee for playing Sita on the online screen.
#BoycottKareenaKhan became one of the top trends on Twitter. Angry netizens tried to troll the actress with some extreme tweets:
A few days ago, a report from Bollywood Hungama claimed that Kareena raised her fee for a period drama in which she was offered the role of Sita. The report stated that Alaukik Desai’s film tries to retell the epic Ramayan from Sita’s point of view and Kareena Kapoor is the filmmaker’s first choice.

Citing a source, the report mentions that although Bebo charges between 6 and 8 million rupees, for this period drama, he charged a whopping 12 million rupees. However, this is because the film requires at least 8-10 months of preparation and filming work.

Bebo has the Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta film in the works, which will be shot first. Only after these two projects will the period drama about Sita begin as it is time consuming.
