According to Mirror, Madonna, Miley Cyrus and Britney’s ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake have decided to establish a legal fund for the pop singer to finance her battle for legal guardianship against her father. Under the guardianship, Bitney’s father has control over all of her assets. Other celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Christina Aguilera are reportedly on board as well, with many more joining.

Madonna recently took to her Instagram and expressed her solidarity with Britney. Madonna posted a note from her on her Insta story and wrote that what was happening to Spears was a human rights violation. Madonna’s post read “Give this woman life. Slavery was abolished long ago! The Britney Spears curatorship has undergone many shocking and surprising changes. Britney Spears’ mother recently filed a waiver with the court asking them to allow her daughter to choose hers of her own attorney. This request came after her court-appointed attorney, Sam Ingham, asked to resign as Spears’ attorney after serving as her attorney since the inception of her guardianship 13 years ago.

A few days before that, the pop singer’s manager, Larry Rudolph, also resigned. In a letter obtained by Deadline, Rudolph wrote that he had not spoken to Britney in over 2 and half years and at that point Spears notified him that she was on indefinite hiatus. Her decision to resign came after Spears considered officially retiring from show business. Rudolph in his letter also mentioned that he was not part of the guardianship in any way and wrote: “As her manager, I think it is best for Britney that I resign from her team as my professional services already They are not necessary”.
