Milkha Singh dies at 91. Priyanka Chopra to Akshay Kumar, Bollywood pays last respects

Milkha Singh passed on last evening (June 18) because of post-Covid intricacies. Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and other Bollywood famous people took to web-based media to offer their final appreciation to the incredible Indian athelete.

Milkha Singh inhaled his last breath  on June 18 because of post-Covid issues. He was 91. Numerous Bollywood celebs took to web-based media to offer their final appreciation to the Flying Sikh. Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and a lot more recollected the incredible Indian competitor.

Priyanka Chopra payed  her last respects to Milkha Singh.She wrote, “Warm and welcoming, you made our first meeting so so special. I have been inspired by your excellence, touched by your humility, influenced by your contribution to our country. Om Shanti #Milkha ji. Sending love and prayers to the family. #MilkhaSingh (sic).”

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “The Flying Sikh may no longer be with us in person but his presence will always be felt and his legacy will remain unmatched… An inspiration to me… an inspiration to millions. Rest in Peace Milkha Singh sir (sic),” read his tweet.

Akshay Kumar  wrote, “Incredibly sad to hear about the demise of #MilkhaSingh ji. The one character I forever regret not playing on-screen! May you have a golden run in heaven, Flying Sikh. Om shanti, Sir (sic).” According to reports, Milkha Singh originally wanted Akshay Kumar to play him in his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, but the role went to Farhan Akhtar.
Sharing photos of Milkha Singh, Riteish Deshmukh wrote, “Shri #MilkhaSingh Ji‘s name was and will forever be synonymous with speed. He inspired generations to run & never give up. Extremely saddened to know about his demise. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. #LongLiveFlyingSikh (sic).”
Anil Kapoor and the entire cast of Dil Dhadakne Do got an opportunity to meet Milkha Singh in 2015. Anil shared throwback pictures with the Flying Sikh and paid his last respects. He wrote, “Milkha Singh ji welcomed us into his home and his lovely wife fed us the most unforgettable aloo parathas I’ve ever had… He truly was an incredible sportsman, phenomenal host and above all an amazing human being… will be truly & deeply missed (sic).”

Sharing a photo of Milkha Singh. Sunny Deol, wrote, “The nation will remember you & seek inspiration from your life forever. Flag of India #MilkhaSingh #RIPMilkhaSingh (sic).”

Anubhav Sinha  wrote, “He believed he could fly and boy he did. Go well sir. Try and come again to inspire the next generations. #MilkhaSingh (sic).”

Milkha Singh, 91, famously known as the Flying Sikh, passed on Friday night, June 18 because of post-Covid difficulties in a Chandigarh emergency clinic. He tried positive for Covid-19 every month prior. He was conceded to the ICU at the Covid-19 Hospital of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh due to plunging oxygen levels on June 3. He lost his significant other Nirmal Kaur to the infection recently. Also, on June 18, he inhaled his last. He is made due by three little girls Dr Mona Singh, Aleeza Grover, Sonia Sanwalka, and child Jeev Milkha, who is a pro golf player.
