New Delhi. Reliance President Mukesh Ambani on Thursday, during the Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting (AGM), announced that JioPhone Next, a smartphone jointly developed by Reliance Jio and Google, will be available in the Indian market from 10th of September 2021.
Ambani claimed that the JioPhone Next will be a full-featured smartphone, the most affordable on the market, but did not disclose the price range. Some of the phone’s features include voice assistant, automatic reading aloud of text on the screen, language translation, and smart camera with augmented reality filters.

Sundar Pichai added that Google’s vision with the Jio association was to provide affordable access to information for Indians. “The next steps in this vision begin with a new affordable Jio smartphone, created with Google. Launched in 2016, Reliance Jio soon captured the Indian telecom market with its cheap data plans, often considered the most affordable in the world.
